What are corporate housing co-signers?
Corporate housing co-signers are companies that provide housing co-signing services for renters who may have credit issues preventing them from renting an apartment or home using their own social security number. The corporate co-signer uses their company’s or representative of the company's good credit score and proof of income to get an approval for the rental selected by the customer. The customer is submitted as the primary occupant that will be residing in the residence on the application.
How does the process work?
1. First, you must meet the income requirement of at least 3x the amount of the rent.
2. Pay the enrollment fee into the housing co-signer program of $150.00
3. Find and select the apartment or home you require a co-signer's assistance on.
4. Pay the service fee, which is equal to one month's rent.
2. The co-signer fills out the application on your behalf in the co-signer section of the application. Your name will be submitted as the primary occupant that will be residing on the property.
4. After approval, move in.
Benefits of Having A Co-Signer:
• Avoid the hassle of finding a cosigner or paying extra security deposits.
• Avoid your application being rejected because of your personal credit issues.
• Avoid solely using your personal credit for the approval process.
• On time rent payments are reported to credit bureaus, improving your credit.
Common Questions About Our Co-Signer Service:
Are there any additional fees?
Other than the enrollment fee of $150.00 and service fee, which equals one month's rent, there are no additional payments. We just do the paper work you pay your rent each month just as if you sign the lease yourself.
What does your company do with the enrollment fee of $150.00?
This fee is used for our team to organize your application, paperwork, and to do all of the leg work in helping you locate a suitable housing option based on your preferences, contact the property manager or landlord, and run a basic-level criminal background check.
What does your company do with the service fee that's equals to one month's rent?
We have a pool of company representatives who uses their excellent credit score and high income to get our customer's approved by co-signing for them on a housing rental. 1. We pay our company representatives a fee for the service. 2. Since our company reps trust us to keep their credit score in excellent standing we deposit a percentage of funds into our company savings account. In the rare event that a customer defaults on their lease agreement, we use our savings to pay the property manager or landlord the balance owed of the leasing agreement to keep our company and representatives in good standing. This is what allows us to keep helping good people with credit issues get approved for housing.
