Mental Health - Psychotherapy and Pastoral Counseling; Graduate Training in Psychoanalysis
Blanton-Peale Institute and Counseling Center is a multi-faith, non-sectarian service organization founded in 1937 by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale ("The Power of Positive Thinking") and a psychiatrist, Dr. Smiley Blanton to help people in emotional need by combining the insights of psychology and spirituality. BPI is a non-profit mental health counseling center licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health. The Graduate Institute trains counselors in its licensure-qualifying psychoanalytic program and offers pastoral care studies and enrichment programs.
